me and my dad spent the afternoon with my recruiter today. i just wanted my dad to be able to ask all the questions on his mind and be more at peace with my decision.

my recruiter sent me home with a big fat folder which i just looked through and realized it contains my questionnaire for national security positions. aka 17 pages of background info and my official “application” to join the military.

this isnt officially happening yet. i still want to talk it over more with both of my parents and decide if its really the right thing for me. i’m also in the process of researching four year schools. no matter what come the end of december i’m done at SCCC, i’ll have my associates, and i need to move on.

BUT. my recruiter told my dad not to let me get my tattoo yet. i brought up the fact that i want to get my ribs tattooed and he told me just to wait incase i do go ahead and get it then start the process of enlisting when i find out i have hepatitis or some shit. honestly this tattoo seems like its more trouble than its worth at the moment and it all feels completely wrong so no matter what i think i’ll be holding off on getting it until further notice.

also. apparently i’m an excellent candidate to become an officer and for the nuclear program which has a $30,000 enlistment bonus.
